From the pit of need, when close to despair,
let us remember and become aware
that to face this, we must cry out in prayer.
In our time of need, we will find You there.

Our righteousness fails! We’re not good enough.
We’re faced with problems You’ve already solved.
Create us anew, set our minds above.
Now, cover us with forgiveness and love.

Jesus, you died just to save us.
There’s life in You, alone
Holy Savior, our Righteousness,
in You, we find our hope.
